That it has taken me SO long to post or that I've copied this from Haley to give me a little guidance! Oh, well. Here goes!<br /><br /><br />1. What did you do in 2009 that you'd never done before?<br /><br />Had major shoulder surgery that rocked my world. Recovering from something like that with a toddler is not fun! <br /><br />2. Did you keep your new year's resolutions, and will you make more for next year?<br /><br />I'm pretty predictable...work out more, eat better. Gave it a valiant effort but no exceptional results!<br /><br />3. Did anyone close to you give birth?<br /><br />YES! Several people. Most importantly was my sis-in-law (sister at this point!she's been in our family about as long as Kyle and I love her!) My beautiful neice Stella Rose was born October 20th and she is as Haley puts it YUMMY! Gavin absolutely adores her!<br /><br />. Did anyone close to you die?<br /><br />My Aunt Linda passed away last April, after a very hard life of diabetes and illness. She was a wonderful person and I know she is looking down on us all now. We miss her!<br /><br />5. What countries did you visit?<br /><br />Just the good ole US of A<br /><br />6. What would you like to have in 2010 that you didn't have in 2009?<br /><br />Looks like the answer to that will be 2 kids instead of 1! <br /><br />7. What dates from 2009 will be etched upon your memory, and why?<br /><br />February 17-shoulder surgery<br />Mid February-found out I'm going to be an aunt!<br />October 20th – the day that my beautiful neice was born<br />October 23rd – the day we found out Gavin is going to be a big brother<br /><br />8. What was your biggest achievement this year?<br /><br />Definitely getting through my surgery and the rehab. Don't wish it on anyone. It was harder than recovering from a C-section after having a baby!<br /><br />9. What was your biggest failure?<br /><br />Not being a good enough friend. With a super demanding job, a toddler, husband, family...something's gotta give and that is unfortunately where I haven't had enough time or energy to do! I love you all for still being my friend even though I'm MIA a lot!<br /><br />10. Did you suffer illness or injury?<br /><br />Yuck. Yes. Shoulder...obviously. And then there was the miserable bout with the swine flu. Which led to bronchitis. And during that whole mess I found out I was pregnant. Which led to nausea...I think that's enough detail!<br /><br />11. What was the best thing you bought?<br /><br />Greg's new car. 2009 Buick Enclave. Love it!<br /><br />12. Whose behavior merited celebration?<br /><br />My lovely sis in law Annalise. We have become so close and I'm so glad to have her in our lives!<br /><br />13. Whose behavior made you appalled and depressed?<br /><br />Can't think of anyone.<br /><br />14. Where did most your money go?<br /><br />Bills, daycare, travel, food.<br /><br />15. What did you get really, really, really excited about?<br /><br />The birth of my beautiful neice and finding out I was pregnant again.<br /><br />16. What song will always remind you of 2009?<br /><br />Big Green Tractor by Jason Aldean. My son is obsessed with it and I'm pretty sure we have watched the video on YouTube at least 3,459 times.<br /><br />17. Compared to this time last year, are you: a) happier or sadder? b) thinner or fatter? c) richer or poorer?<br /><br />Happier<br />Fatter – I'm pregnant, so that's a pretty good reason.<br />Definitely richer in blessings...about to be poorer when baby #2 gets here!<br /><br />18. What do you wish you'd done more of?<br /><br />Time for myself and girl time. Like I said before, those are the things I sacrifice to get everything else in!<br /><br />19. What do you wish you'd done less of?<br /><br />Working. But that's not really an option! <br /><br />20. How did you spend Christmas?<br /><br />With family...in Rogers with Mom and Dad and Kyle, Haley, and Stella and MeMe Christmas eve and part of Christmas day and in the Fort for a couple days with Greg's family<br /><br />21. Did you fall in love with 2009?<br /><br />It was a great year. I'm excited for 2010 though!<br /><br />22. What was your favorite TV program?<br /><br />I have 2. Modern Family, which is so funny. And I've developed an obsession with the Duggars...18 Kids and Counting. <br /><br />23. Do you hate anyone now that you didn't hate this time last year?<br /><br />Not a hater!<br /><br />24. What was the best book you read?<br /><br />Don't remember. I know I read a couple and they were by Sophie Kinsella/ Madeline Wickham.<br /><br />25. What was your greatest musical discovery?<br /><br />Wiggles/Tractor videos on YouTube. Hours of entertainment for my little man.<br /><br />26. What did you want and get?<br /><br />I guess getting pregnant would be the answer to that one. <br /><br />27. What did you want and not get?<br /><br />A huge raise!<br /><br />28. What was your favorite film of 2009?<br /><br />Nothing in particular stands out. I'm kind of behind on movies.<br /><br />29. What did you do on your birthday, and how old were you?<br /><br />February 11 – 31 – I honestly don't remember what I did! Doesn't really matter anymore. Once you're a mom your birthday kind of disappears!<br /><br />30. What one thing would have made your year immeasurably more satisfying?<br /><br />Nothing! We had a great year that overall was pretty healthy! Gavin is a little rockstar and I have a wonderful hubby and family. Great job working with great people, and an overall great life! And about to add to our family...couldn't ask for much more!<br /><br />31. How would you describe your personal fashion concept of 2009?<br /><br />Not sure. Trying to stay a little trendy while being comfortable and chasing a toddler. Then there's the work wardrobe. Kind of a hodge podge of stuff!<br /><br />32. What kept you sane?<br /><br />Greg<br /><br />33. What political issue stirred you the most?<br /><br />I'd rather not go there. <br /><br />34. Who did you miss?<br /><br />My friends and family far away that I don't get to see often.<br /><br />35. Who was the best new person you met?<br /><br />Stella Rose! Can't wait to watch her grow up!<br /><br />36. Tell us a valuable life lesson you learned in 2009. <br /><br />You can't do it all. And you don't have to! Life is too short to stress about the things that won't matter next week. Live in the moment and enjoy the present. You never know when it could all be taken away so make the most of every moment!<br /><br />37. Quote a song lyric that sums up your year.<br /><br />I'm copying Haley on this one, too. This is Gavin's favorite song and he can sing it all. I think God did that for a reason...<br /><br />”Don’t worry ‘bout a thing, ‘cause every little things gonna be all right.” – Bob Marley <br /><br />Happy 2010!karaandgregheimhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/17161310589852896160noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3840663015934785567.post-27055337574582120372009-10-09T16:29:00.004-05:002009-10-11T21:42:55.074-05:00We're still here!<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEg4yrK-ieIx9XXmkfkgKpZupkkH4y0FGdRfi32gxXd9cRb0jULNgN0ta2m8nIHRyJber726tiieCiit9wpMIyQwCGvOe9CRp2ZNMKM5_XS2klULVo_RCLdpK8yG0yOh71NfpWGg235esdB2/s1600-h/Fall+2009+007.JPG"><img style="display:block; margin:0px auto 10px; text-align:center;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;width: 240px; height: 320px;" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEg4yrK-ieIx9XXmkfkgKpZupkkH4y0FGdRfi32gxXd9cRb0jULNgN0ta2m8nIHRyJber726tiieCiit9wpMIyQwCGvOe9CRp2ZNMKM5_XS2klULVo_RCLdpK8yG0yOh71NfpWGg235esdB2/s320/Fall+2009+007.JPG" border="0" alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5390719924310970258" /></a><br /><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhkCw58769MdR1zLXEhpIYDIjibUuieFzDO304r_m9wn7_t24zy3LNpv9CakNwkO1Ba8Z1oLqeuDF6q4tc996gOKyjYiQGdle7TevnpVhjaCN04M_3kpBYm5gAZsy4IyfyyCTRnb26aA9dq/s1600-h/Fall+2009+013.JPG"><img style="display:block; margin:0px auto 10px; text-align:center;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;width: 320px; height: 240px;" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhkCw58769MdR1zLXEhpIYDIjibUuieFzDO304r_m9wn7_t24zy3LNpv9CakNwkO1Ba8Z1oLqeuDF6q4tc996gOKyjYiQGdle7TevnpVhjaCN04M_3kpBYm5gAZsy4IyfyyCTRnb26aA9dq/s320/Fall+2009+013.JPG" border="0" alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5390719915283053442" /></a><br /><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgFLL-HPMcHC0CczWHFRn8Zc3whsmJnYJqrV7E5mzVo66O_sDaVSqwcE4TmKtOyT3rsEcGeu7pvrxYCv67JkOv-UNt8A4lz-lBXyK9pw7ntX8OSRPztrgqjv2N5ptxQmX8L2k37dNi44HES/s1600-h/Fall+2009+008.JPG"><img style="display:block; margin:0px auto 10px; text-align:center;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;width: 240px; height: 320px;" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgFLL-HPMcHC0CczWHFRn8Zc3whsmJnYJqrV7E5mzVo66O_sDaVSqwcE4TmKtOyT3rsEcGeu7pvrxYCv67JkOv-UNt8A4lz-lBXyK9pw7ntX8OSRPztrgqjv2N5ptxQmX8L2k37dNi44HES/s320/Fall+2009+008.JPG" border="0" alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5390719903783790386" /></a><br />I'll be surprised if anyone reads this...I had just about given up on myself and the blog! But now that the weather is getting cooler and we'll be inside more, I'm going to try to get back into doing it again! <br /><br />Wow...where to begin. First and foremost, I am ANXIOUSLY awaiting the arrival of Miss Stella Rose, Kyle and Haley's baby! She could be here anyday and we are SOOOO excited to meet her! Please keep them in your prayers for a happy, healthy baby and delivery! I can't wait to be Aunt KK and spoil our little girl! <br /><br />As for my little guy, he's not so little anymore! He never ceases to amaze me. He has NO fear-I just walked into his room and he had taken his shirt off(random) and was crying because he jumped off his play table onto his little chair and scared himself- and told me exactly what he did! Here are a few new pics of the little man.<br /><br />I'll be sure to add more soon. We've had lots of fun outings to share! Our next adventure will be a pumpkin patch this weekend. Can't wait!karaandgregheimhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/17161310589852896160noreply@blogger.com2tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3840663015934785567.post-59765300944416112572009-05-27T21:33:00.003-05:002009-05-27T21:45:33.374-05:00Spring Pics<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjR6huoRsU0vmisfGQFs1ioC6GXsxWN9UjOMvKo9MXF-LtRvaisg4cNUp2Su_WCxVUJYUfuQ2jXy65OrOiFfsY1AGPfWeTo7XdDU21n0Md0MKQYFMXqQfENwi5rke9QEc9MjunE0uoqazc9/s1600-h/Spring+2009+034.JPG"><img style="display:block; margin:0px auto 10px; text-align:center;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;width: 320px; height: 240px;" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjR6huoRsU0vmisfGQFs1ioC6GXsxWN9UjOMvKo9MXF-LtRvaisg4cNUp2Su_WCxVUJYUfuQ2jXy65OrOiFfsY1AGPfWeTo7XdDU21n0Md0MKQYFMXqQfENwi5rke9QEc9MjunE0uoqazc9/s320/Spring+2009+034.JPG" border="0" alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5340698915820293682" /></a><br /><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgve8RXxAmh2pm4hMvugzqUBR2yOvtsJSiMAGEQRJ5E5C2zWqLq04-zNNZpeVVcXJRWoYmMJSj09EH-wkOHnhXxDsXKhzBfbrAFBz0UgjrN4okh3JvhEykCWfU6_5byfrzh_kARcLdfHeap/s1600-h/Spring+2009+031.JPG"><img style="display:block; margin:0px auto 10px; text-align:center;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;width: 320px; height: 240px;" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgve8RXxAmh2pm4hMvugzqUBR2yOvtsJSiMAGEQRJ5E5C2zWqLq04-zNNZpeVVcXJRWoYmMJSj09EH-wkOHnhXxDsXKhzBfbrAFBz0UgjrN4okh3JvhEykCWfU6_5byfrzh_kARcLdfHeap/s320/Spring+2009+031.JPG" border="0" alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5340698910536914818" /></a><br /><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEi5Jh2g8KDIygZU_pzXcqZqSnEMVCtuU5dIzRGiPO4DzWBBBRUuL6Wo7Rdt424HwbJNY_1-1u5jHDLKtEgbZm21FH4cPEFpJZAXnEryt883xA220sVawWAGPWhgw3SuNaaV7DhDssvKchLZ/s1600-h/Spring+2009+030.JPG"><img style="display:block; margin:0px auto 10px; text-align:center;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;width: 320px; height: 240px;" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEi5Jh2g8KDIygZU_pzXcqZqSnEMVCtuU5dIzRGiPO4DzWBBBRUuL6Wo7Rdt424HwbJNY_1-1u5jHDLKtEgbZm21FH4cPEFpJZAXnEryt883xA220sVawWAGPWhgw3SuNaaV7DhDssvKchLZ/s320/Spring+2009+030.JPG" border="0" alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5340698902698174146" /></a><br /><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjhyphenhyphenxyNK4X_QFbAXG-SeTAMJE84AYoFW8yeB63xcrcIyyOjp1rykpmudTOZmn_jXhPT4CvEbujQKa1rNnsBOzpVGF_l6lg77qNKC0BzDNDRah_3uHl9ohrMyBywcFXDa9fwz19P0SUGLm33/s1600-h/Spring+2009+024.JPG"><img style="display:block; margin:0px auto 10px; text-align:center;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;width: 320px; height: 240px;" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjhyphenhyphenxyNK4X_QFbAXG-SeTAMJE84AYoFW8yeB63xcrcIyyOjp1rykpmudTOZmn_jXhPT4CvEbujQKa1rNnsBOzpVGF_l6lg77qNKC0BzDNDRah_3uHl9ohrMyBywcFXDa9fwz19P0SUGLm33/s320/Spring+2009+024.JPG" border="0" alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5340698897750032322" /></a><br /><br /><br />Long time, no post...I know. Too busy with the little man, work, and trying to be a great wife/daughter/friend/etc. Something's gotta give! I'll try to get better! In the meantime, here are a few new pics of our little superstar! He's talking (and singing) up a storm. His favorite songs are Pokerface, Boom Boom Pow, and anything by Sugarland. Wonder who he's in the car with the most...me maybe? He has an incredible vocabulary for 16 months, and repeats everything and can even use it in context. It's so much fun! We spend our evenings going to the park, riding tractors in the driveway, and watering plants so there is little time to play and post here lately. Hope all of you are happy and healthy and enjoying the warmer weather! Happy Spring!karaandgregheimhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/17161310589852896160noreply@blogger.com1tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3840663015934785567.post-80892389738949357422009-04-04T20:40:00.003-05:002009-04-04T20:49:56.613-05:00What a week...I guess I should say what a month, since it's been that long since I've taken the time to sit down and post anything. I've officially returned to work since my surgery, and it was a tough week! I had to go to Vegas for a National meeting/new product launch which was great...lots of work but got to play a little too! However, I'm about 40-50% with my shoulder so it wore me out. Really long uncomfortable days...probably should have stayed in at night to do my exercises and ice it but come on...it's VEGAS!!!! <br /><br />Well, at least it was fun until Wednesday. I then got a call that one of my favorite relatives had passed away. My wonderful Aunt Linda Nicodemus, God rest her soul, left us to be in a better place. She was the kindest, most loving, most humble woman I think I've ever known. She lived a long life of illness and pain but not once did I ever hear her complain. I honestly don't know of anyone that went through what she did in her lifetime. As hard as it is to accept she is no longer here, I am so glad for her that she no longer has to suffer. God has a special place for her in heaven, and I truly believe she was an angel on earth, so I know she'll be an extra special one in heaven. Please keep my Uncle Nick, cousins David and Rachael, and the rest of her family in your thoughts and prayers.karaandgregheimhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/17161310589852896160noreply@blogger.com1tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3840663015934785567.post-83953880258533744852009-03-09T21:52:00.004-05:002009-03-10T21:00:03.689-05:00Fun trip to the Park!<div><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhM3FbIoWXJMHrRx3fiMtrIjuXhnZRzFPvgRlB3UOD-YBxTCegjHte39dJRbwSqYN8oOk5sM_C8DO8C4e5kWWbkjVTPjDfPleVkhtTCgOQGMpW01VDVjqnGbf2KtxLx2Ku9r56Ps_gYKESf/s1600-h/017.JPG"><img id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5311390617064101058" style="DISPLAY: block; MARGIN: 0px auto 10px; WIDTH: 240px; CURSOR: hand; HEIGHT: 320px; TEXT-ALIGN: center" alt="" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhM3FbIoWXJMHrRx3fiMtrIjuXhnZRzFPvgRlB3UOD-YBxTCegjHte39dJRbwSqYN8oOk5sM_C8DO8C4e5kWWbkjVTPjDfPleVkhtTCgOQGMpW01VDVjqnGbf2KtxLx2Ku9r56Ps_gYKESf/s320/017.JPG" border="0" /></a><br /><div>Just chose a new background...LOVING IT! </div><div><br /></div><div>I had to choose a shamrock motif. For those of you who don't know...Greg and I got married on St. Patty's Day almost 3 years ago! Time flies soooo fast! We now have an extremely energetic and talkative 14 month old! I can't even express how excited I am to have another little one to love as much as I love Gavin! Since my surgery, he has pretty much had double attention most of the time. If I'm home, someone is here to help me. He loves it! His little vocabulary is out of control! We have a new word everyday. Today at daycare he learned to put his finger to his mouth and say "Shhhhh...."</div><div><br /></div><div>Wow. I can't believe he is telling us to be quiet! </div><div></div><div><br /></div><div>This weekend we went to the park with Nanny (Aunt Annalise) and had a ball! I consider this a fitting image of when my life started with my beautiful wife Kara. It's funny how you look back on your life before you met the one you were destined to spend forever with and details become difficult. Then they become easy. I'll never really know what it is that I said or did to make Kara fall in love with me. Whatever it was, I thank God that I did it right. I will never consider myself a failure in this world because marrying a woman like Kara has to be the greatest success any man could ever achieve. Speaking of details: </div><br /><div></div><br /><div>I remember everything in detail when it comes to her.</div><br /><div></div><br /><div>I remember how beautiful you were and what you were wearing when we first met. I mean truly met. I know you had a huge crush on me in Junior High but that was a long time ago.</div><br /><div></div><br /><div>I remember what you were wearing and how gorgeous you looked on our first official date. I pretty much knew by the end of that night by the way.</div><br /><div></div><br /><div>I remember how beautiful you were in your wedding dress. (Even Elvis thought so)</div><br /><div></div><br /><div>I remember where I was when my mom said she hit "reply all" on her email and told every Arbonne Lady in the tri-state area that we went on a date. I remember I told her not to worry about it cause I thought it was the beginning of something special.</div><br /><div></div><br /><div>I remember <em>exactly</em> where I was when you told me there was a little force of nature growing inside of you. </div><br /><div></div><br /><div>I remember how in awe I was how you handled bringing Gavin into this world. I swear you never even looked nervous. There are mothers, and then there is you.</div><br /><div></div><br /><div>I don't remember our first big yelling fight because we've never had one. <em>Ever.</em></div><br /><div></div><br /><div>I would pat myself on the back for remembering these things, and a bunch of little things in between, but to be honest it's you that deserves the credit. It's easy to remember the wonderful things that you brought into my world. You always put other people before yourself, you are a perfect mother and wife. You're even an amazing cook and I'm an amazing eater. I mean how perfect is that, you can't make this stuff up. I love you more than I could ever put into words. Thank you for loving me back.</div><br /><div></div><br /><div>Your Husband,</div><br /><div></div><br /><div>Greg </div><div> </div><div> </div><br /><div></div></div><div><img id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5301670848404928658" style="DISPLAY: block; MARGIN: 0px auto 10px; WIDTH: 264px; CURSOR: hand; HEIGHT: 320px; TEXT-ALIGN: center" alt="" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEiGC9WRQBayghlCi13bLNRTRh-rvXh1CM8CrVN-RYT5ZPubl7sll_x83wWZ9mtR6aCiO5Yqgv6UqCHqud6AgOdy9jXCO7QBfAvkAWkfLz8Gy-nTI9q4NpzD_DuGWValANioGSmFsfMMysRL/s320/Love+them+hogs.jpg" border="0" /><br /><div>And for all you lovers out there, Happy Valentine's Day!</div></div>karaandgregheimhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/17161310589852896160noreply@blogger.com6tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3840663015934785567.post-51567167607710252842009-02-02T21:32:00.006-06:002009-02-02T21:47:30.362-06:00What a fun Weekend!<div><br /><br /><div> <div><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEg0yp1cAwbK4GG20wyUpMBMTwrN72Z_hyphenhyphen3c8VK0NEe3fejf91htKN_UStfxpTyy3iS6ze_LyxNlDXue-3Ko_kUKof5pxsRbT3Y0Soon0-IlhcKkXPma4y46mDbXrpG7r-CiX7VSqtmoX-8U/s1600-h/Gavins+big+weekend+at+farm+and+conway+013.JPG"><img id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5298410772759584242" style="DISPLAY: block; MARGIN: 0px auto 10px; WIDTH: 240px; CURSOR: hand; HEIGHT: 320px; TEXT-ALIGN: center" alt="" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEg0yp1cAwbK4GG20wyUpMBMTwrN72Z_hyphenhyphen3c8VK0NEe3fejf91htKN_UStfxpTyy3iS6ze_LyxNlDXue-3Ko_kUKof5pxsRbT3Y0Soon0-IlhcKkXPma4y46mDbXrpG7r-CiX7VSqtmoX-8U/s320/Gavins+big+weekend+at+farm+and+conway+013.JPG" border="0" /></a> After a CRAZY week stuck inside, we were all so ready to get out and enjoy some sunshine and fresh air! I really thought that my vacation (2 weeks) over the holidays would make me refreshed and full of vim and vigor.<br /><div align="center">WRONG. </div><div align="left">Between holidays, birthdays, travel, sickness, upcoming layoffs, and the list goes on...I'm just exhausted. Poor little Gavin has been sick for 8 days now. It started out as a bad ear infection and NO sleep, and has progressed to what we're not sure...taking him back to the doctor tomorrow for the third time this week(after 3 different antibiotics and a lot of ibuprofen). Bless his sweet little heart! There is nothing as horrible as seeing your little one sick. I'd rather be 5 times as sick myself. Words can't express how it breaks your heart to see all those little tears! </div><div align="left"> </div><div align="left">I didn't realize how lucky we are to have such a great baby who sleeps through the night EVERY night until the last week. God bless all parents who deal with this on a regular basis! I don't deserve to complain but it sure is hard trying to get going on 2-3 hours of sleep. </div><div align="left"> </div><div align="left">We have been pretty uneventful other than work and taking care of the little guy. I did enter Gavin in Regis and Kelly's cutest baby contest...(Sarah Thomas if you are reading this please don't enter Kate...I think it would hurt his ego to get beat by a girl at this young age!) As far as work goes, I've been updating my resume just in case...my company is doing a BIG layoff on the 30th so the stress level has been pretty high on my end. Wish me luck! I love my job and hope to keep it!</div><div align="left"> </div><div align="left">Hopefully we'll have some fun pictures to add after the weekend. My in-laws have a farm and just bought 2 llamas-yes, llamas- to chase off stray dogs. One is for Greg's sis Addison (his name is Charlie) and one is for Gavin (his name is Lester) so I'm pretty sure if Gavin is feeling better this weekend we will have to go meet his new pet! I bet nobody else can say they are going to visit their new pet llama this weekend! </div>karaandgregheimhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/17161310589852896160noreply@blogger.com2tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3840663015934785567.post-68318285743111549972009-01-07T21:31:00.005-06:002009-01-07T21:43:18.587-06:00Everybody loves a smash cake!<div> <div><div><div><div>Happy Birthday to You, Happy Birthday to You!</div><div>Happy Birthday Dear Gavin, Happy Birthday to You!</div><div></div><br /><div>Thank you little man for the BEST YEAR of our lives! As if Christmas and New Year's aren't enough activity for one week, we have Greg's birthday on the 4th and Gavin's on the 7th of January. (And Aunt Annalise on the 1st and GiGi and Papa's anniversary on the 3rd...) Too much activity for such a short time frame! And this year is big for both my boys...Greg turns 30 and Gavin turns 1! I can't believe that he's been here for a year. CRAZY!!! Lucky for me I've been off work for 2 weeks.<br /><br /></div><div align="center">Well, we decided to ring in the New Year with a party at our house. We did this for several years in a row but it's been a couple of years since our last party. I was wanting to do something for Greg for the BIG 30, but he is IMPOSSIBLE to surprise so he was aware we were having a party. I got him a cake and decorated to throw in a little twist. We had a great turnout (30+ people through the course of the night!) and we had tons of fun! Here are a few pictures of our goodbye to 2008! As if the holidays aren't hectic enough with traveling, last minute gifts, and figuring out times to see family and friends that haven't been seen all year, our little one decided to throw in a twist of his own. Gavin started walking this week! I personally think he was a little upset that he didn't have everyone's total attention all the time so he made it his mission to come up with something to direct all eyes back to him. And he did just that! Greg's mom and sisters were keeping him on Monday night and he had stumbled around a little over the weekend. I told Greg that the girls would have him walking before Christmas and sure enough I got a text from Addison that read... "GAVIN JUST WALKED ALL THE WAY ACROSS THE ROOM!!!" And of course I started crying. I couldn't get to him fast enough!</p>Of course Christmas was wonderful. We went to the Fort to celebrate with Greg's side of the family and my Dad's family on Christmas Eve. We got a visit from Santa at Grandma Heim's...didn't go so well for Gavin. It was his first time to see the jolly ole' guy up close, and he wasn't too stoked about it. (Hey this is Greg, in Gavin's defense "Santa" did say "Booga Booga" real loud right when he sat down and then whispered in his ear that he wasn't actually Santa Clause but Mark Curlett and just showed up cause Mom and Dad gave him a liquid thank you gift wrapped in a purple velvet bag. Ya'll know what I'm sayin. No wonder the poor guy was cryin. Seriously though, thanks to Mark for doing that. Maybe next year he can hide behind a bush outside and jump out and yell "Santa's here!" really loud and give him gifts that way).<br /><img id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5285050435779870578" style="DISPLAY: block; MARGIN: 0px auto 10px; WIDTH: 400px; CURSOR: hand; HEIGHT: 300px; TEXT-ALIGN: center" alt="" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEiq_jRfaFe22L-Y7hKVnJJPchMG_MKlqi6N3c3FfSaKPoEnI4id-nq36DxT_i-dfVb1RrQQplD1D_9-BDs6dbawbk-R5yfflHphf7vzu_KW7x4B9Isegu1uKhmJgz3AIjj_8-z5FXIcil8s/s400/New+Christmas+Pics+2008+006.JPG" border="0" /><br /><br /><p>We woke up on Christmas day, opened presents from the Heims', and headed back up to Rogers to do gifts and dinner with my parents and Meme. Santa was VERY good to all of us this year! (Hey Greg here, also notice in the background the pastel monkey riding the dumptruck and Gavin is astonished with the gold ribbon. I mean this kid has some focus. Very impressive for a 1 year old). </p><img id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5285051636069339170" style="DISPLAY: block; MARGIN: 0px auto 10px; WIDTH: 400px; CURSOR: hand; HEIGHT: 300px; TEXT-ALIGN: center" alt="" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEiGlO_vgWvpjP9T_-o1Jxm52tZal8ON2VXj-H4MHEwV-yFYNtcKFCQ9W-oIdGkZeIC30q2XWLfiz2B0vDY0QpbIFVBo9LvDrrU5ALsdsX-O4sOgQKYy-Sb_TtW0RD-XDtFP8NhCrGUoftmi/s400/New+Christmas+Pics+2008+037.JPG" border="0" /><br /><br /><p>And my little boy (yes, he is now a little boy. :( not a baby anymore) just seems to keep adding to his bag of tricks! He is in the process of learning how to call the Hogs...he thinks it's the funniest thing EVER and is trying so hard to get the motions down! And dad is teaching him how to drive. Or at least letting him pretend to drive. Which he thinks is hysterical! Here's a sneak peak of the little man behind the wheel.</p><p><br /><iframe allowfullscreen='allowfullscreen' webkitallowfullscreen='webkitallowfullscreen' mozallowfullscreen='mozallowfullscreen' width='320' height='266' src='https://www.blogger.com/video.g?token=AD6v5dwANkIA217XjYTlGbU8TL6lxhj81vL-DLBov1K7Qtvb2oAMSfqkYdQSkbOiYWzobpIeZJenN15fLxbm4Ae_Mg' class='b-hbp-video b-uploaded' frameborder='0'></iframe></p><p align="left">(That's right Greg here again) Yep, you better believe it ladies and gentleman, Gavin not only started walking this week he also started driving! I mean, they grow up so fast. Of course I set some ground rules such as no drinking out of the sippee cup while driving and no talking to or playing with bun bun. This video was taken at the end of our first driving lesson at the Promenade in Rogers. I will say that the older he gets the more he throws little fits and complains. For instance, he's getting particular about the baby food we give him, he cries when you leave him in a room by himself for hours at a time, and "he can't reach the pedals". I mean come on, time to be a big boy. Anyway, he did a good job with his first time behind the wheel (and may I add that those dorky little bike cops at the Promenade are such fascists, I mean how about you let me parent my own child thank you very much.) We were gonna practice parallel parking but it was cold and mommy and daddy were done shopping so we went home. Happy upcoming New Year everybody! (By the way, Kara thought the whole "leave him in a room by himself for hours at a time" made us sound like bad parents but I always make sure Savvy babysits when we're gone. I mean seriously, like we wouldn't have a babysitter.) Geesh</p></div>karaandgregheimhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/17161310589852896160noreply@blogger.com1tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3840663015934785567.post-85684142479888960292008-12-19T00:57:00.000-06:002008-12-19T02:05:36.303-06:00Hey everybody, it's Greg, I can't sleep and I figured I'd go ahead and make another post all by myself. I'm a little bit like Haley this way (and she knows what I mean) in that I get these extremely random ideas that I want to tell people about and I think they're funny so you people reading this are just gonna have to sit there and take it. So for our first picture, I want everybody to take a good hard look at the items in little G's crib below and tell me if there is anything that is a little weird.<br /><div><br /><div><br /><div><br /><br /><br /><div><img id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5281393820732769682" style="DISPLAY: block; MARGIN: 0px auto 10px; WIDTH: 400px; CURSOR: hand; HEIGHT: 300px; TEXT-ALIGN: center" alt="" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEiitA6J1d2tFm3ic_wCoLTssqz1ReDzi61LKKRTd2g3faIVqFGZHAk5Pxk8EakcEoxZ04HCgIRV__7rVocwKgrggzsuii003mXYnT-IdVVQWiEVVd2vynPsCZIxPYEf2HBiSr-pxxPUuZIJ/s400/New+Pics+December+18th+006.JPG" border="0" /></div><br /><br /><br /><br /><p>Give up? Well the fact that there's not one glow worm but two glow worms is a little strange to me. I mean who invented this doll anyway? It's got arms but no legs, it's face lights up, and its a worm wearing a hooded sweatshirt. I mean I'm pretty sure they were around when I was a kid which is kind of strange and there's two of them here. I honestly have no clue how he aquired the second one but there they are, apparently reproducing (and glowing of course) all around my sleeping son. It, however, is pretty adorable how he sleeps like that with his bun bun. And his um worms.</p><br /><br /><br /><p>For this next picture I wanted to show once again what a great job Kara did with the decorations for Christmas this year. But it's not the beautiful decorations that are the highlight of this next pic. Prepare to be awed.</p><br /><br /><p><img id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5281396855309171650" style="DISPLAY: block; MARGIN: 0px auto 10px; WIDTH: 400px; CURSOR: hand; HEIGHT: 300px; TEXT-ALIGN: center" alt="" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEggk_Q_fZNqZ69EjBgSgnya_jqPwed7hGbBn7D_uTdrqqF7UrNIDpoa-FMb9TKqpXsG-EZWfoqrbpJRf9FEurBzUeYjpsOTKwBicIslRd1XrOLAq2nUIR36vCpIYXJQH0y-MsWm5P7uU3cS/s400/New+Pics+December+18th+005.JPG" border="0" /></p></div></div><br /><div><br />That's right, Savvy's back on the blog. I'm actually really proud of myself with the way that I used the light to really bring out her muscle structure. If you look really close you can almost see where her stomach ends and her neck begins. Just breathtaking. By the way, as I type this blog right now, Savvy is snoring so loud, that is sounds like a tuba player getting in a fight with a bunch of bullfrogs. Ridiculous. After seeing this picture I realized that I need to make an effort to take Savvy on more walks. I mean I know she looks great but if she's gonna win some more blue ribbons she needs to put in a smidge more effort. So anyway I got her leash on her and she gets all excited cause she knows what we're doing, she's actually pretty smart, and I open the front door. We start to walk up the front yard, emphasis on the word up, Savvy doesn't do up, and to make a short story shorter, she's winded by the time we get to the mailbox and I'm freezing cause it's like 4 degrees so we decide to go back inside. I give her a dog biscuit, I make a white russian and we both watch TV. All in all a pretty good father daughter experience. Also, if you were wondering, she's not able to have puppies. Sorry about that. There can only be one Savvy.</div><br /><div><br /><br /><br /></div><p>This next picture is quite possibly the cutest pic of Little G ever. You see I usually have bath duty cause its just easier for me to lift him in and out of the tube. So naturally I decided to give him a little mohawk and snap a picture. Here ya go.</p><br /><div><br /></div><br /><p></p><img id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5281402869247585394" style="DISPLAY: block; MARGIN: 0px auto 10px; WIDTH: 400px; CURSOR: hand; HEIGHT: 300px; TEXT-ALIGN: center" alt="" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgkwevzsj7Qr0l0TxeT07QmD_dxoRqlWymQPZ26ntNpzw4GoOLRk2BmGPxmT7JAuxQmMlRNT7qnwSS_yDq-or_y3CNi14WHX9Q8xomB3WnR8kSEa9ykOWyYAM0jwCGNvZL85qj_bfgXkRMb/s400/New+Pics+December+18th+007.JPG" border="0" /><br />Pretty stinkin cute. Hey Greg, is that fireman ducky cover for the bath faucet? Yes, yes it sure is. </div><br /><div></div><br /><div>To finish it off I found this picture online so I thought what the hell. I figure there's at least one guy out there that might read this blog and appreciate it. For those of you that don't know, it's the characters from one of my favorite movies, Anchorman, with a little Razorback flare. Go Hogs.</div><br /><div></div><br /><div><br /></div><div><img id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5281407308397864722" style="DISPLAY: block; MARGIN: 0px auto 10px; WIDTH: 400px; CURSOR: hand; HEIGHT: 267px; TEXT-ALIGN: center" alt="" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEi4gFSh4_kzZEIqLbDlZA8cTCrAKm_UF6D3KbnklOVob34KFNTG3yHI7GilYvi6JQi2LJPqzuIO9LvyzxRSkkkjQBTk1W3EX9fYiFigzB3Da1izA0JQc7SOxzTOdNGz1GOyQxELs5DPpoRC/s400/anchorman-2.jpg" border="0" /> </div>karaandgregheimhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/17161310589852896160noreply@blogger.com3tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3840663015934785567.post-23077105696189747952008-12-18T21:35:00.000-06:002008-12-18T23:01:13.525-06:00A few of Gavin's favorite things...<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEi7r3T5PLaxl_SaVlqF1tS7DWXDVuPw7ef9Vz5I6XJLDQtmke34mtxJZZj2sU3nUj1oi_PN60owdutSTez9eapmVL0Wv5BBZp0GO4GRgDXeKUSRp_8NcmlzQjg2cZ5eDi-ESJjgbNoWXFYP/s1600-h/Family+christmas+picture+day!+017.JPG"><img id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5281360155453433362" style="DISPLAY: block; MARGIN: 0px auto 10px; WIDTH: 400px; CURSOR: hand; HEIGHT: 300px; TEXT-ALIGN: center" alt="" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEi7r3T5PLaxl_SaVlqF1tS7DWXDVuPw7ef9Vz5I6XJLDQtmke34mtxJZZj2sU3nUj1oi_PN60owdutSTez9eapmVL0Wv5BBZp0GO4GRgDXeKUSRp_8NcmlzQjg2cZ5eDi-ESJjgbNoWXFYP/s400/Family+christmas+picture+day!+017.JPG" border="0" /></a> In my attempt to get into the spirit of Christmas, I've had to look to my little one for inspiration. Usually at this point I have all my shopping done, presents wrapped and under the tree, and stockings waiting to be stuffed. Not so much this year. Between work, life, and sick baby, things have been thrown off a little. A lot. Thrown off A LOT! However, I'm trying to recover and my goal is to have my shopping done by Saturday and presents wrapped by Sunday. Monday is my last day of work for almost 2 weeks, and I want to enjoy my time off with Gavin and Greg ( and the rest of our family and friends, too!) <div><div><div><div><div><br /><br /><div>I just read my friend Sarah Thomas's blog and she decided to "reflect" on her daughter's favorite things. What a great idea! So here are a few of Gavin's favorite things...<br /></div><br /><br /><div>Bun Bun. His little blue bunny blanket. </div><div>He chews on it, loves on it, sleeps with it, eats with it, you name it. It's Bun Bun or bust. </div><br /><br /><div></div><img id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5281357773795784418" style="DISPLAY: block; MARGIN: 0px auto 10px; WIDTH: 400px; CURSOR: hand; HEIGHT: 300px; TEXT-ALIGN: center" alt="" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhHxCahsLSAN0VsZGXdUz1VBhjtPpGt3OGYQrLcy59oRnnRoEKQaM72p_pEmqzQdYk8tvDX9mm2jr0i_ImwdkFo24KdsFcFAu1C0L-_a2Y1AMitK6rBWIrTq2jsq9rMbjVzkKtyY2KnsK2q/s400/New+Pics+December+18th+014.JPG" border="0" /><br /><br /><div></div><div>Girls. He LOVES girls. Especially DeDe (my mom), Aunt Hay Hay (Haley), GiGi (greg's mom), Aunt Addi( Addison, greg's sis) and Aunt Anni (Annalise, greg's sis). And any other pretty lady you send his way!</div><img id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5281357780727583602" style="DISPLAY: block; MARGIN: 0px auto 10px; WIDTH: 400px; CURSOR: hand; HEIGHT: 300px; TEXT-ALIGN: center" alt="" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjLYwx-cJpBDWmOGfq8GvKMi3HEucpZGGzNkzKJF38If3OwRD787qtv00oU2VzEijBtrW5lmP2NMeo1xeJ2e-aMeIoqKQeWiNTAPrFlL2sLqy4WIjS1ovCvfYcK9yoePMhufTYaaDjdVDq2/s400/New+Pics+December+18th+010.JPG" border="0" /><br /><div></div><div>That being said, he loves guys, too. His face lights up when he sees Bob-O(my dad), Pappa Skippy ( Greg's dad) and Uncle Kyle. And all of his uncles for that matter. I'm pretty sure he knows who loves him. :)</div><img id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5281357783895682642" style="DISPLAY: block; MARGIN: 0px auto 10px; WIDTH: 400px; CURSOR: hand; HEIGHT: 300px; TEXT-ALIGN: center" alt="" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEiWSxjUXyeOlC8xfzTgZwzSUAj8zPLLKBhh7u7CS4OjcfCuArlk3XUzLnAklGWOyuQGKIIqmcQQMkwQfz9rcRT4CWmxszBP8Sth4BVxf_Hb2s1Qt35rzCUfau4yVusp8Qhbeq6_UpX4MfsP/s400/Thanksgiving+2008+Pics+024.JPG" border="0" /><br />(Double whammy in this picture. Uncle Kyle AND Bun Bun.)<br /><br /><br /><div>Floor vents.</div><div>He is obsessed with the vents in our floors. Nothing you can say will keep him from pulling them up. I guess it's just that they're so shiny and warm...and the fact that we constantly freak and shout "NO!" when he pulls them up...he just can't help himself! (Hey this is Greg, found him with the vent cover off the other day and his arm up to his elbow down the vent. I guess he thought Bun Bun was makin a run for it. He's quick for a tiny person. Oh and he thought it was hilarious of course.)</div><div></div><br /><div>TOUCH.</div><div>His favorite word. And action. He must touch everything. The ornaments on the tree, the TV when he's watching "Jack's Big music show" on Noggin (if you don't have kids you will someday understand that this is an essential channel), the light fixtures....he is so intrigued by everything. I love it. (Yeah this is Greg, hell I like Jack's Big Music Show. I mean they had a Bongo Bird on there the other morning actually playing the Bongos. It's hard to explain, but if you've experienced it you know exactly what I'm talking about. TOTAL UNCONDITIONAL LOVE. Wow. (Hey Greg one last time, just wanna say I have the most beautiful wonderful wife in the world. She puts up with me so I know she loves me! Hey, what if I walked around with a giant bun bun, that would be weird. Or if I had a fascination with floor vents, I mean at my age? Even weirder. Anyway, Peace out and Merry Christmas!) </div><br /><br /><br /><br /><br /><br /><div></div><br /><br /><br /><br /><br /><br /><div>That being said, I need nothing for Christmas this year. Disco is my favorite! Well, since I didn't get to live it then, this is the next best thing. Merry Christmas from our family to yours!<br /><br /><a href="http://elfyourself.jibjab.com/view/GTUeWCFx61EbJbrRTWlJ">http://elfyourself.jibjab.com/view/GTUeWCFx61EbJbrRTWlJ</a>karaandgregheimhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/17161310589852896160noreply@blogger.com1tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3840663015934785567.post-84864641602139345822008-12-09T20:02:00.000-06:002008-12-09T20:19:17.015-06:00Parent's night out!<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjYFhdzmTP52Ozgm0-wz7SDskvzCuHrVDGSX0CYSznfRC7vNT9UkUaLXLB_qaFpdm0PUpTqvSajo4VTFgzP4En9jdQBSTFbEoLCD0L9QzJH359uiYBzb7TKhltFLCN5Wy1ZOQiRFZeagS2t/s1600-h/Mellow+Mushroom+Gavin"><img id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5277976783050115490" style="DISPLAY: block; MARGIN: 0px auto 10px; WIDTH: 320px; CURSOR: hand; HEIGHT: 240px; TEXT-ALIGN: center" alt="" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjYFhdzmTP52Ozgm0-wz7SDskvzCuHrVDGSX0CYSznfRC7vNT9UkUaLXLB_qaFpdm0PUpTqvSajo4VTFgzP4En9jdQBSTFbEoLCD0L9QzJH359uiYBzb7TKhltFLCN5Wy1ZOQiRFZeagS2t/s400/Mellow+Mushroom+Gavin" border="0" /></a> Somebody LOVES the camera!<br />Greg and I took a night away this past weekend to go to Little Rock for my work Christmas party. Uncle Kyle and Aunt Hay Hay were kind enough to volunteer to keep the little man. He obviously had a GREAT time! We don't get out very much since we've had him...he didn't seem to mind that we were away! He loves being with them. He has a HUGE crush on Haley. Anytime she walks into the room he becomes completely oblivious to anything else that is going on. His one and only goal is to get her undivided attention! Needless to say, he does a pretty good job. I'm pretty sure he has her wrapped around his little finger.<br /><br />Poor little guy has 2 ear infections right now. He has been such a trooper considering the circumstances. I woke up to him and the monitor this morning at 6 o'clock and he was saying "touch...touch..." Touch is his new word...and after "Mama " it's his favorite! He has to touch EVERYTHING! No object is spared. I love it! He is constantly trying to talk to us and communicate. It just keeps getting better everyday!karaandgregheimhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/17161310589852896160noreply@blogger.com3tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3840663015934785567.post-23448239983972351712008-12-01T21:03:00.000-06:002008-12-01T22:15:41.724-06:00Yes he's real and no you can't have him.<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEiEaxbueaVhubzencHgHqe75hB8XixzVHa7pVIze1e9aEmOoIIE-vbTLJKwENX2nBLRmwuWe9YwGsxCBBotkNr1ZXwkspinosARf1OrS3RmVc0TlIozSTWcpEs1_zCLcKpD5zNVYzhm9hlx/s1600-h/Gavin+with+ornament.jpg"><img id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5275023471499330050" style="FLOAT: left; MARGIN: 0px 10px 10px 0px; WIDTH: 144px; CURSOR: hand; HEIGHT: 147px" alt="" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEiEaxbueaVhubzencHgHqe75hB8XixzVHa7pVIze1e9aEmOoIIE-vbTLJKwENX2nBLRmwuWe9YwGsxCBBotkNr1ZXwkspinosARf1OrS3RmVc0TlIozSTWcpEs1_zCLcKpD5zNVYzhm9hlx/s400/Gavin+with+ornament.jpg" border="0" /></a><br /><br /><br /><br /><br /><br /><br /><br /><br />Hey everybody, Greg here again. Hope everybody had a great thanksgiving. A couple of weekends ago, we went and got some Christmas Pics done up in Rogers and it turned into "how cute could we make Gavin day". As you can see it wasn't very hard. We also dressed Kyle (my brother in law) in the same outfit but they just didn't come out quite as good. Not sure why.<br /><br /><br /><br /><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgHKmwpUSoly2Ms04uZc0PoF2YaA2_HvJ8i1mGqB8JpSpQkXtVGwca4IyksPbQOCJfqHmEcs__2zABB9h_QKn2aOXUOyYX7riwjpXAre0J8QfSgQVvj-qvt-o1wSYwruueXqi8TU4qYDxS5/s1600-h/Xmas+Gavin.jpg"><img id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5275025525927615410" style="FLOAT: left; MARGIN: 0px 10px 10px 0px; WIDTH: 134px; CURSOR: hand; HEIGHT: 132px" alt="" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgHKmwpUSoly2Ms04uZc0PoF2YaA2_HvJ8i1mGqB8JpSpQkXtVGwca4IyksPbQOCJfqHmEcs__2zABB9h_QKn2aOXUOyYX7riwjpXAre0J8QfSgQVvj-qvt-o1wSYwruueXqi8TU4qYDxS5/s400/Xmas+Gavin.jpg" border="0" /></a><br /><br /><br /><br /><br /><br /><br /><br /><br />Here's another one of Little G. Apparently Bun Bun has been injured and/or sleeping and he's very concerned. Kyle is of course reassuring him that Bun Bun is just fine and will be his very special friend for a long time. Hence the concern with Bun Bun's well being.<br /><br /><br /><br /><p><img id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5275030131290582114" style="DISPLAY: block; MARGIN: 0px auto 10px; WIDTH: 391px; CURSOR: hand; HEIGHT: 284px; TEXT-ALIGN: center" alt="" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEib0IqcGaR1lzag69qAGC7sg-Ho4lCY1bqeGckBMIzd0ZUmCnxvfCShA78YVEVPSGvLCB6rrfMOlry-Oy2eFUSqRqwqBRSnY-VUVRl5u78ICEDIgTEUq44uZN9i_vZQ8Cy4NuCokOy86-Hk/s400/Kyle+and+Bun+Bun+looking+at+Camera.JPG" border="0" /><br />Whooo Hooo! Greg's first post! Let's do this.<div><div><div><div><div><br /><iframe allowfullscreen='allowfullscreen' webkitallowfullscreen='webkitallowfullscreen' mozallowfullscreen='mozallowfullscreen' width='320' height='266' src='https://www.blogger.com/video.g?token=AD6v5dy13VT_v5Jra3LBr6XgrjbSwnHuQUJMzGOVrtSX5ZxOr-FAGu8S_M5OJOjxW3ozg92GTnPXy5mgwhjEeb11nA' class='b-hbp-video b-uploaded' frameborder='0'></iframe></div><div></div><p>Yeah, I thought it would be nice to start my first post with a video. It's amazing how fast Little G learns things. I literally did this little trick with him that morning and after like the 3rd time he knew exactly what I was gonna do. Daddy's little sponge. Anyway, Kara has been doing a great job with the blog and I promise I'll start doing it more so you can get our different perspectives on things. </p><p>Like the fact that I'm probably not gonna be the, what shall we call it, the "discipliner" in the family. My job is to make sure everyone is having a great time and is well fed. One example of that is when mommy is getting ready in the morning, daddy puts Little G in his walker and puts a large amount of cheerios on it and he proceeds to walk about the house dropping cheerios everywhere and the dogs follow him around and finish them off. It's all about teamwork. </p><br /><div></div><p>AND NOW ITS TIME TO MEET THE REST OF THE FAMILY ON THE BLOG<br /></p><p><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgJie3k9UczFKb-XNzaLzVDygtnYO9dfSnmW05QN5sHFuP2NKNpFsTUwZb1raQW3jg2TUvtrAXLDiCYATA44Yz9b6n9hGV8muV2C9iakREqDWkGQ08jPEnxG2Dw035U53e6ZOBPYhxXrhoT/s1600-h/Pictures+150.JPG"><img id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5272797005196552802" style="FLOAT: left; MARGIN: 0px 10px 10px 0px; WIDTH: 245px; CURSOR: hand; HEIGHT: 240px" alt="" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgJie3k9UczFKb-XNzaLzVDygtnYO9dfSnmW05QN5sHFuP2NKNpFsTUwZb1raQW3jg2TUvtrAXLDiCYATA44Yz9b6n9hGV8muV2C9iakREqDWkGQ08jPEnxG2Dw035U53e6ZOBPYhxXrhoT/s400/Pictures+150.JPG" border="0" /></a></p><br /><div><br /></div><div></div><div></div><div><br /><br /><br /></div><br /><p></p><br /><div><br /><br /><br /><br /></div><br /><p>This young lad is Woogie. Woogie is a Boston Terrier and Gavins future partner in crime. The story behind Woogie is an interesting one. Hank, my best friend, and myself both mentioned that we wanted Boston Terriors one day long ago and some time after that Hank out of the blue calls me up and says that he found a litter of Boston Terrior puppies and figured we should grab a couple. So I got Woogie and Hank has Ollie, both brothers and happy little dogs, as you can see. A couple of things about Woogie, he has a freakishly long tongue that doesn't quite fit in his mouth. It's impressive. Also, he has gas, common for the breed. Astonishing evil, obnoxiously audible gas that could be bottled up and used as a dangerous weapon. You don't even know.<br /></p><p><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEiLjoWZl-LiKc8YdS7T9P-2J3pkOj0KR8VoVaWIs92n6NRBnSOHpdPqkk-jotEAMLeN-cnsPMKv1t5P3AkTtr8ZO3SXsWrzdiCj2vLy8Qrusu_2n68mK_lH9FXfM8npD6nx4ZdRwrW_U9wc/s1600-h/Pictures+153.JPG"><img id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5272798976207707602" style="FLOAT: left; MARGIN: 0px 10px 10px 0px; WIDTH: 319px; CURSOR: hand; HEIGHT: 262px" alt="" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEiLjoWZl-LiKc8YdS7T9P-2J3pkOj0KR8VoVaWIs92n6NRBnSOHpdPqkk-jotEAMLeN-cnsPMKv1t5P3AkTtr8ZO3SXsWrzdiCj2vLy8Qrusu_2n68mK_lH9FXfM8npD6nx4ZdRwrW_U9wc/s400/Pictures+153.JPG" border="0" /></a></p><br /><div><br /><br /><br /></div><br /><p></p><br /><div><br /><br /><br /></div><br /><p></p><br /><div><br /><br /><br /></div><br /><p>And here he is in his favorite place in the world. This is my first true dog and her name is Savvy. Savvy is about 7 years old and was born in a ditch when I was in college. My neighbor at the time gave her to me for free. Savvy is not exactly um a pure breed. Could be some fox in there, possibly some groundhog or large muskrat or something. Definitely some hound though, because she's got a pretty good howl and nose. One thing Savvy is however is a great dog. She's follows me around everywhere and has pretty much never done anything wrong. She sheds like its her job, which Kara just loves, but even that can be overlooked. I have no doubt that she'll live to be like another 15 or 20 years and there I'll be walking her proudly around the neighborhood and explaining to my neighbors what the hell that roundy reddish gray thing on the leash is. That's just Savvy and no she's not for sale.</div><br /><div></div><br /><div></div><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEiJP7BSOHiERjQosOVW8cTZeB_1_H9NcaGkFfhw_TtGYvrbvK0Y99OxEuhISKmsKU5uZFr_W3N9C5XdhsoSx_qT3MEmbJdiLlpKRqYQziNkCQJ21ondYEUAGPYkN2dAWyvxt-8GxNRU0YQ7/s1600-h/Pictures+of+Gavin+at+home+(2+weeks)+065.JPG"><img id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5272804028940057682" style="FLOAT: left; MARGIN: 0px 10px 10px 0px; WIDTH: 300px; CURSOR: hand; HEIGHT: 400px" alt="" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEiJP7BSOHiERjQosOVW8cTZeB_1_H9NcaGkFfhw_TtGYvrbvK0Y99OxEuhISKmsKU5uZFr_W3N9C5XdhsoSx_qT3MEmbJdiLlpKRqYQziNkCQJ21ondYEUAGPYkN2dAWyvxt-8GxNRU0YQ7/s400/Pictures+of+Gavin+at+home+(2+weeks)+065.JPG" border="0" /></a><br /><div>And I thought I would just throw this in here. Just really blows me away how big my little jammer has gotten. Now he's waving and talkin and doin other stuff. I think he was just a couple weeks old here.</div><div></div><div></div><div></div><div></div><div></div><div></div><div>Big G will be posting a lot in the future cause I'll admit this was fun. We had our family Christmas pictures taken today at Picture People in Rogers...the first time all seven of us (Mom, dad, Kyle, Haley, and the three of us)have been together for pictures! We got a ton of great pictures and Gavin had a great time and was soooo good...as you can see from the above pic!<br /><br />After we finished up, we went to my mom and dad's for dinner and a family night. Gavin is absolutely mesmerized by lights, and the Christmas tree is his favorite! Here's a cute pic of him and Bob-O playing with the tree.<br /><br /><br /><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEiU4Q-3AOMR-bOcOXER49g5HLrXDyO3YzQTVYv31h3rksOxw9veyDDrLDrVgtm6aHqelD_VzJ-jYcN-SLTEdqke1t9NUlNLmBmaI6o8-trvqazgKJjsaEJYTQbCrVPygd5JNvkv34JNwZHh/s1600-h/Family+christmas+picture+day!+006.JPG"><img id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5272052938569018802" style="DISPLAY: block; MARGIN: 0px auto 10px; WIDTH: 400px; CURSOR: hand; HEIGHT: 300px; TEXT-ALIGN: center" alt="" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEiU4Q-3AOMR-bOcOXER49g5HLrXDyO3YzQTVYv31h3rksOxw9veyDDrLDrVgtm6aHqelD_VzJ-jYcN-SLTEdqke1t9NUlNLmBmaI6o8-trvqazgKJjsaEJYTQbCrVPygd5JNvkv34JNwZHh/s400/Family+christmas+picture+day!+006.JPG" border="0" /></a> He's also discovered a favorite new food...mashed potatoes. If they are on my plate, I don't get to eat any of them! It's not a bad deal for me. I don't need to be eating them anyway! But he can't get them in his mouth fast enough! Both of our clothes were covered in potatoes by the end of dinner! Look closely at his face!<br /><br /><div><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjcoUkSir6M_HJZWOEatT39amFT2-eatt8rqEJVY9rgRWgGZWPRQImV-idfVJ4KXHI6wZPnr_NUViOS2R7jAp1hgj58O3noieGaL4ZQ-xgU2UicvoEikZ79x4TndKmfgWT0AnS7jAlgrS6z/s1600-h/Family+christmas+picture+day!+015.JPG"><img id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5272052934212829922" style="DISPLAY: block; MARGIN: 0px auto 10px; WIDTH: 400px; CURSOR: hand; HEIGHT: 300px; TEXT-ALIGN: center" alt="" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjcoUkSir6M_HJZWOEatT39amFT2-eatt8rqEJVY9rgRWgGZWPRQImV-idfVJ4KXHI6wZPnr_NUViOS2R7jAp1hgj58O3noieGaL4ZQ-xgU2UicvoEikZ79x4TndKmfgWT0AnS7jAlgrS6z/s400/Family+christmas+picture+day!+015.JPG" border="0" /></a> And here's a cute pic of my handsome boys watching some football. We got married there and it has become a yearly tradition for us. We knew immediately after we got married we were ready to add to our family, however we were having a difficult time. I developed a pretty bad shoulder injury, and found out I needed surgery, so I decided to get it taken care of before we got pregnant. I scheduled my surgery and checked in and had all of my pre-op stuff taken care of. The anesthesiologist came in to talk to me and was on his way back in to put me under and...SURPRISE!!! The nurse rushed in to tell him to stop because my pregnancy test was positive. I didn't get to have my surgery. That will explain the picture below...<img id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5268739144638080226" style="DISPLAY: block; MARGIN: 0px auto 10px; WIDTH: 400px; CURSOR: hand; HEIGHT: 300px; TEXT-ALIGN: center" alt="" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjMOPiakXhHTutiQSaUoMB72ggvpWmhmmLTl6bCkfbh56hcAg9slyNGO17kQ5zQ1dmOG7A1RrgQeAJO5PzrAkwgwzXENWaHnS3zEZ-tmVn6RdXoBGOaP4PJS37i5Om_U0_kn90Si6Y2Z8EY/s400/November14,2008+003.JPG" border="0" /></div><br /><br /><p></p><br /><p>Need I say more? I know I'm a little biased, but I'm pretty sure this is the best jackpot V EGAS has to offer! Thanks to Uncle Greg and Aunt Kathy Nichols for my cool t-shirt! 2 years later I'm still trying to figure out the best time for my surgery. I'm thinking January...Greg will be the big 30 on the 4th and Gavin turns 1 on the 7th. After that, it's time to fix Mommy</p>karaandgregheimhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/17161310589852896160noreply@blogger.com4tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3840663015934785567.post-68653744802324670362008-11-11T21:47:00.000-06:002008-11-11T22:05:31.295-06:00What a fun weekend at the river!<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEh0nIvN4Nc5TIq1mAJ5r3O1qr0yyvW8f7VySyW9plIYXTRw7bK-yHP0l75_Jw0yVDv6aLobR8YOBfFZw-jpPKilSSYbZpoJjRVQmx6WjwIh_vuobiZPIJtUqRKmlfe6o2JNUf-9w36MKbul/s1600-h/Halloween+and+River+2008+014.JPG"></a><br /><div><br /><br /><div> </div><div><img id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5267613546093328594" style="DISPLAY: block; MARGIN: 0px auto 10px; WIDTH: 320px; CURSOR: hand; HEIGHT: 240px; TEXT-ALIGN: center" alt="" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEh7Sanm9gyGV47dZWP9ieQRankrHHWZ7vxxBZjI09w3CyVnjvg29yikxPB-qpIUZp0zDo8oCYoIMwky2mFhpjADdDlKV_hDnP94u9g3XUuJWoFeVfxscfzZDsg_HV2oIpglKylcT_mFZ36d/s320/Halloween+and+River+2008+010.JPG" border="0" /></div><div> We decided last week to take a much needed R&R weekend to Greg's parents river house on the King's River. We haven't been in almost a year, and we were ready for a reason to kick back and relax! Drew and Britani, Greg's parents, and his little sis Addison were all there with us. We had a great time! We didn't do much...it was too cold! Greg and I went for a short hike to the river but it was too cold to take Gavin along. He had fun zooming around the house in his walker! </div><div>We did get to have a bonfire after he went to bed and make smores...YUM! I haven't done a post in FOREVER! Reason being that our hard drive on our laptop crashed, then we went to Vegas for a long weekend...I planned on doing a post right when we got back but we got a virus on our desktop so NO COMPUTER for over 3 WEEKS! I've about gone crazy! It's kind of sad how dependent we've become on these things. We finally have our laptop back and were able to recover all the important things...i.e videos and pics of Gavin! I was very relieved!</div><br /><br /><div></div><br /><br /><div>Let's see...we'll start with Vegas 2008. So much fun! We've been every year since we got married there. Our best friends Hank and Hollie <span class="blsp-spelling-error" id="SPELLING_ERROR_0">Hankins</span> joined us (it has become an annual event for the 4 of us!) And even better, we had another couple this year to make the trip even more fun! Wilson and Katy Ward made the trip complete! We had such a great time. It was our first adult trip as parents, and while we enjoyed it we were ready to get back to our little monkey! </div><br /><br /><div></div><br /><br /><div><br /></div><br /><br /><div>Our first night...immediately went to Fat Tuesday's for a tasty beverage and then to Trader <span class="blsp-spelling-error" id="SPELLING_ERROR_1">Vics</span> for some appetizers and more tasty beverages!</div><br /><br /><div><br /></div><br /><br /><div></div><br /><br /><div><br /></div><br /><br /><div><img id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5264249557238973202" style="DISPLAY: block; MARGIN: 0px auto 10px; WIDTH: 320px; CURSOR: hand; HEIGHT: 240px; TEXT-ALIGN: center" alt="" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjcbEzQ9V0xaw271rYfXeSDBOiK83V3FTfJi8M6AsQ-sJlk-5j9tASLke2pG1fZ-C-D-2LtZX9wcYk528DoN8FG1BPhH3aBLjbsesSVL59o0C8g-4Vme3_fSU_ubbO6y-jwuXeUGXLYt-ta/s320/Brand+New+Pics+October+Vegas+006.JPG" border="0" /></div><br /><br /><div><br /></div><br /><br /><div></div><br /><br /><div><br /></div><br /><br /><div>Our second night...went to PRIME with Hank and Hollie for a fabulous dinner overlooking the fountains at the <span class="blsp-spelling-error" id="SPELLING_ERROR_2">Bellagio</span>! They knew our names by the time we left! For anyone thinking about going to Vegas soon...the Fat Tuesday's in Caesar's is the best! We very much enjoyed it!</div><br /><br /><div></div><br /><br /><div>Our last day was definitely the most adventurous. One of Greg's friends lives in LA and found out we were in Vegas. After a hard core night in LA, he decided to hop the red eye and surprise us. We were awakened to a phone call about 7:15 from him telling us he had hooked us up with a cabana and suite at Mandalay Bay and we were all going to get to watch the Razorback game poolside at the topless pool...don't get too <span class="blsp-spelling-corrected" id="SPELLING_ERROR_4">excited</span>. Only part of it panned out! He called Greg and got our room number at <span class="blsp-spelling-corrected" id="SPELLING_ERROR_5">Caesar's</span> and told us someone would be up with the info...and about 15 minutes later he busted in and had us pack all of our stuff and we headed over to Mandalay Bay for a change of scenery for our last night! Hank and Hollie had to leave Saturday afternoon, so we were <span class="blsp-spelling-error" id="SPELLING_ERROR_6">ok</span> with a change after 3 nights of Caesar's. We went up to Mix at the top of <span class="blsp-spelling-error" id="SPELLING_ERROR_7">TheHotel</span> at Mandalay Bay (65<span class="blsp-spelling-error" id="SPELLING_ERROR_8">th</span> floor...incredible view!) and had a couple of drinks. Greg gave me $10 to play on Wheel of Fortune ( a family favorite). I decided that I should probably go with a quarter machine given my lack of success thus far on the trip...the dollar machine wouldn't have lasted long. I got down to my last 3 quarters and bet them all...and won $400! I was pretty pumped. At least enough to make me want to go back again next year! </div><br /><br /><div></div><br /><br /><div>VIVA <span class="blsp-spelling-error" id="SPELLING_ERROR_9">LAS</span> VEGAS!<br /><br /><br /><br /><br /><br /><br /><br /><div></div></div><br /><br /><div></div><br /><br /><div></div></div>karaandgregheimhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/17161310589852896160noreply@blogger.com1tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3840663015934785567.post-69208448018964996772008-10-05T16:48:00.000-05:002008-10-05T20:35:18.036-05:00Daddy's little Mini-G!<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEiZv-DgFX05H7m4Sp7GI8VPESUBuzO6YmeCcNsahT54cnQ1ZxtwjzufAAXFuEqvAN7eB3wX5SrLaBKgyeCPs7MU0gC7vgeEAKdV6jYQMlMKDyddUrlYT1ItmGOHdikbz6xxemXZ7Y3i6vaV/s1600-h/Pictures+1+021.JPG"></a><br /><br /><div></div><br /><br /><br /><div><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhFsjsmUrwfDvGCFXTRUtiwXi9S0c2sCCyH7mBy5cu-t_dET6p3gsvs2dR0w1JEbRv76Ez9fD4oVYYfQDYCreF6Ijhyphenhyphenl88HGTv7btTWKhIQl8437AFjTc5Wwkh39yOSNSn27UxJP3pc_yfB/s1600-h/Gavin+Pics+001.JPG"><img id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5253790715381121154" style="DISPLAY: block; MARGIN: 0px auto 10px; CURSOR: hand; TEXT-ALIGN: center" alt="" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhFsjsmUrwfDvGCFXTRUtiwXi9S0c2sCCyH7mBy5cu-t_dET6p3gsvs2dR0w1JEbRv76Ez9fD4oVYYfQDYCreF6Ijhyphenhyphenl88HGTv7btTWKhIQl8437AFjTc5Wwkh39yOSNSn27UxJP3pc_yfB/s320/Gavin+Pics+001.JPG" border="0" /></a> This is quite possibly my favorite picture ever! Talk about two handsome boys! Gavin is looking more like his daddy every day! I never thought I'd have a child with dark blonde hair and hazel eyes. He is definitely his daddy's son...right down to his widows peak! Gavin's latest discovery is that he can put things in his mouth and then crawl around with them. His favorite is a little football that Greg got him at a tailgate a while back...He loves his new little adventures!<br /><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhWS0xs9q1OvXRkjhaKZBuxPYl4YoRl2q1b1taVJne9oDWs8HX4ybwZ0aXuFgkogUGPSlqsJZvPpWigmkkcXyGoI47z5GbP0Neudj68WiJF7mDQeEv4UfiTJCLkU7Wh6tzlzAPTHN_k5SLm/s1600-h/Gavin+Pics+013.JPG"><img id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5253790717612839410" style="DISPLAY: block; MARGIN: 0px auto 10px; CURSOR: hand; TEXT-ALIGN: center" alt="" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhWS0xs9q1OvXRkjhaKZBuxPYl4YoRl2q1b1taVJne9oDWs8HX4ybwZ0aXuFgkogUGPSlqsJZvPpWigmkkcXyGoI47z5GbP0Neudj68WiJF7mDQeEv4UfiTJCLkU7Wh6tzlzAPTHN_k5SLm/s320/Gavin+Pics+013.JPG" border="0" /></a> </div><br /><br /><br /><div>He was pretty excited about church this morning, too. We don't get to do that much anymore! Eric and Emily were in town, so we met up with them and Drew and Britani and Kyle and Haley and had dinner at Bordinos and then went out after that. I should have probably gone home after dinner...I can't hang like I used to...but we had a great time! Just family time and enjoying the weather! Kyle and Haley came over for pizza tonight. FYI...if you are trying to be healthy and think about ordering whole wheat crust think again! It's totally worth the extra calories to get the real thing. I was craving pizza so bad and got the wheat crust and it was such a bummer because it was NASTY! That was our weekend...nothing too exciting but I love our life! </p>karaandgregheimhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/17161310589852896160noreply@blogger.com2tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3840663015934785567.post-53634997819639101532008-09-30T20:31:00.000-05:002008-09-30T21:08:16.839-05:00<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEit8uFbYSUahhmz_Fi2VtlRED7JuBlMLWqf36E4Zmw7gF483ViDyTPyTvZbCMH9PMFdJ0y_XfpkkhjnA22nyUILyxQjwIB4p7ZG_Mns-ih5x5orgDL8t2koajENPR4Ck631NwOekA0rSj4A/s1600-h/New+Pics+of+Gavin+002.JPG"><img id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5251999239721053826" style="DISPLAY: block; MARGIN: 0px auto 10px; CURSOR: hand; TEXT-ALIGN: center" alt="" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEit8uFbYSUahhmz_Fi2VtlRED7JuBlMLWqf36E4Zmw7gF483ViDyTPyTvZbCMH9PMFdJ0y_XfpkkhjnA22nyUILyxQjwIB4p7ZG_Mns-ih5x5orgDL8t2koajENPR4Ck631NwOekA0rSj4A/s320/New+Pics+of+Gavin+002.JPG" border="0" /></a><br /><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhivKJMGj2ad7bmbY2Mj7UmBHeBnF09_vh3b1S9Bx7elpGnAGJaJVyFQpPjyBkhwDnVMSafXAV3K0xQC4j1MO9_S4M9Xi_La3uDSh_mW3HnaM8ioS1Xq3zlR63irbwWc4270JOhh-cS-Hod/s1600-h/New+Pics+of+Gavin+001.JPG"><img id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5251999263932490242" style="DISPLAY: block; MARGIN: 0px auto 10px; CURSOR: hand; TEXT-ALIGN: center" alt="" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhivKJMGj2ad7bmbY2Mj7UmBHeBnF09_vh3b1S9Bx7elpGnAGJaJVyFQpPjyBkhwDnVMSafXAV3K0xQC4j1MO9_S4M9Xi_La3uDSh_mW3HnaM8ioS1Xq3zlR63irbwWc4270JOhh-cS-Hod/s320/New+Pics+of+Gavin+001.JPG" border="0" /></a> <p>I couldn't wait to get home today to see my little man. My in-laws and Aunt Addie keep him every Monday night and all day Tuesday, so that usually means I don't get to see him from Monday morning until Tuesday night. It's really gotten hard for me...as he gets older and his little personality gets more incredible I just don't want to be away for one second! I never know what I might miss! I was really bummed because he had a big day and went to bed right after daddy fed him his bottle at 7:00. :( </p><p>We had a great weekend. Meme came up and spent the weekend with mom and dad and we had big plans to go a pumpkin patch in Garfield with Gavin and go on a hayride. Well, I didn't exactly call to see if it was actually going on yet and we ventured out into the MIDDLE OF NOWHERE to discover that it is next weekend and it is in a different place! I guess I should have thought to call when the directions clarified which roads were paved and which were dirt. We got lots of funny looks as we drove mom's Lexus SUV over the one lane wooden bridge and down the dirt roads that led us to a rasberry farm! Sunday turned out to be a fun day for Gavin. We went to our church carnival and he absolutely loved it! They had a band playing childrens music and some incredible tribal dancers performing to drums. He was mesmerized! His favorite thing was probably the duck pond. He is all about some rubber duckies! He just couldn't understand why he had to put them back in the pond after he chose his! Luckily for us one of the prizes was a little duckie so he left a happy camper! </p><p>Fall is here! I love it! I really think this is my favorite time of year. It's so refreshing. You just walk outside and feel really good! As much as I'm in and out with my job, it is a welcome treat to have this beautiful weather to keep me going! As for Gavin, he really loves it too. Being outside is one of his favorite things. He loves it when we put his walker out on the deck and let him explore! I'm so looking forward to the holidays this year. I haven't quite decided if I'm putting up the tree...but it I'm a Christmas fanatic so I'll have to find a place to make it work! Sam's has a big bucket of shatterproof ornaments so I'm thinking I may just buy those and use them until he gets old enough for me to decorate with my collection I've gathered over the years. I know he is going to be just like his mommy and fall in love with Christmas and presents! </p><div><div>Speaking of presents...here is Gavin's latest "gift" for being such a sweetheart! We were at Sam's last weekend and he absolutely had to have this...or at least I couldn't resist not getting it for him.<br /></div><p><img id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5251994773263254034" style="DISPLAY: block; MARGIN: 0px auto 10px; CURSOR: hand; TEXT-ALIGN: center" alt="" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEicuMsYnLGNcM5ZPNOrURyvyazDBqQx0YZiojWcb1tiqHAjpFJs1k0JdV8puzKT2Xuv6wRbyZgi5FiEg2UpVmrNk7Xi3amCQMvO21D-0pbIpbotAd7QddeHdltc-nsJqTiJC6rHyyDgUFCT/s320/New+Pics+of+Gavin+003.JPG" border="0" /></p><br /><br /><p>Once I pointed it out and let him feel it, we were sold. I tend to be a little late on discovering these things because outside of my super busy job, Gavin, and Greg, there is little time for stumbling upon these things on my own!<br /><br /><br />It's called yearbook yourself...you upload a picture and it lets you "see yourself" in a yearbook picture all the way back to the 1950s. I've spent the last 3 days at a GREAT and much needed meeting in Little Rock. Greg has had a superbusy week with work. Lots of surgeries! I couldn't wait to get home to see Gavin tonight(and Greg too)! He's had a lot of love from DeDe and Aunt Hay Hay this week. I stopped in the Fort to pick up my MeMe to spend some time up here with us over the next few days. We are planning to take Gavin to a pumpkin patch and hay ride tomorrow in Pea Ridge, so hopefully I'll have lots of cute pics to post tomorrow!karaandgregheimhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/17161310589852896160noreply@blogger.com1
