I couldn't wait to get home today to see my little man. My in-laws and Aunt Addie keep him every Monday night and all day Tuesday, so that usually means I don't get to see him from Monday morning until Tuesday night. It's really gotten hard for me...as he gets older and his little personality gets more incredible I just don't want to be away for one second! I never know what I might miss! I was really bummed because he had a big day and went to bed right after daddy fed him his bottle at 7:00. :(

We had a great weekend. Meme came up and spent the weekend with mom and dad and we had big plans to go a pumpkin patch in Garfield with Gavin and go on a hayride. Well, I didn't exactly call to see if it was actually going on yet and we ventured out into the MIDDLE OF NOWHERE to discover that it is next weekend and it is in a different place! I guess I should have thought to call when the directions clarified which roads were paved and which were dirt. We got lots of funny looks as we drove mom's Lexus SUV over the one lane wooden bridge and down the dirt roads that led us to a rasberry farm! Sunday turned out to be a fun day for Gavin. We went to our church carnival and he absolutely loved it! They had a band playing childrens music and some incredible tribal dancers performing to drums. He was mesmerized! His favorite thing was probably the duck pond. He is all about some rubber duckies! He just couldn't understand why he had to put them back in the pond after he chose his! Luckily for us one of the prizes was a little duckie so he left a happy camper!

Fall is here! I love it! I really think this is my favorite time of year. It's so refreshing. You just walk outside and feel really good! As much as I'm in and out with my job, it is a welcome treat to have this beautiful weather to keep me going! As for Gavin, he really loves it too. Being outside is one of his favorite things. He loves it when we put his walker out on the deck and let him explore! I'm so looking forward to the holidays this year. I haven't quite decided if I'm putting up the tree...but it I'm a Christmas fanatic so I'll have to find a place to make it work! Sam's has a big bucket of shatterproof ornaments so I'm thinking I may just buy those and use them until he gets old enough for me to decorate with my collection I've gathered over the years. I know he is going to be just like his mommy and fall in love with Christmas and presents!

Speaking of presents...here is Gavin's latest "gift" for being such a sweetheart! We were at Sam's last weekend and he absolutely had to have this...or at least I couldn't resist not getting it for him.

Once I pointed it out and let him feel it, we were sold. It went in the cart and he cuddled with it and talked to it the whole time we were there!

Oh Kara...he's just a DOLL!! So cute...his big doggie makes me want to head right out to Sam's to get one for Kate!

Oh, I've already told Kate all about Gavin..they would make such a cute pair!!

Similar incident: Last Christmas, I heard about this "dancing lights" display in a nearby town so we loaded up my parents, niece and nephew and drove 40 minutes for a sign that said..."Opening Next Weekend". I felt like the biggest silly!!
