I couldn't wait to get home today to see my little man. My in-laws and Aunt Addie keep him every Monday night and all day Tuesday, so that usually means I don't get to see him from Monday morning until Tuesday night. It's really gotten hard for me...as he gets older and his little personality gets more incredible I just don't want to be away for one second! I never know what I might miss! I was really bummed because he had a big day and went to bed right after daddy fed him his bottle at 7:00. :(

We had a great weekend. Meme came up and spent the weekend with mom and dad and we had big plans to go a pumpkin patch in Garfield with Gavin and go on a hayride. Well, I didn't exactly call to see if it was actually going on yet and we ventured out into the MIDDLE OF NOWHERE to discover that it is next weekend and it is in a different place! I guess I should have thought to call when the directions clarified which roads were paved and which were dirt. We got lots of funny looks as we drove mom's Lexus SUV over the one lane wooden bridge and down the dirt roads that led us to a rasberry farm! Sunday turned out to be a fun day for Gavin. We went to our church carnival and he absolutely loved it! They had a band playing childrens music and some incredible tribal dancers performing to drums. He was mesmerized! His favorite thing was probably the duck pond. He is all about some rubber duckies! He just couldn't understand why he had to put them back in the pond after he chose his! Luckily for us one of the prizes was a little duckie so he left a happy camper!

Fall is here! I love it! I really think this is my favorite time of year. It's so refreshing. You just walk outside and feel really good! As much as I'm in and out with my job, it is a welcome treat to have this beautiful weather to keep me going! As for Gavin, he really loves it too. Being outside is one of his favorite things. He loves it when we put his walker out on the deck and let him explore! I'm so looking forward to the holidays this year. I haven't quite decided if I'm putting up the tree...but it I'm a Christmas fanatic so I'll have to find a place to make it work! Sam's has a big bucket of shatterproof ornaments so I'm thinking I may just buy those and use them until he gets old enough for me to decorate with my collection I've gathered over the years. I know he is going to be just like his mommy and fall in love with Christmas and presents!

Speaking of presents...here is Gavin's latest "gift" for being such a sweetheart! We were at Sam's last weekend and he absolutely had to have this...or at least I couldn't resist not getting it for him.

Once I pointed it out and let him feel it, we were sold. It went in the cart and he cuddled with it and talked to it the whole time we were there!

Let me just begin by saying thanks to Sarah (Lux) Thomas for introducing me to one of the most fun online sites ever! I tend to be a little late on discovering these things because outside of my super busy job, Gavin, and Greg, there is little time for stumbling upon these things on my own!

It's called yearbook yourself...you upload a picture and it lets you "see yourself" in a yearbook picture all the way back to the 1950s. I haven't laughed this hard in a really long time!

This would be Greg in 1978. I'm TOTALLY digging the fro...what a hottie! And this would be me in 1982. WOW! I feel like I'm looking at old pictures of my parents! (As a side note, this is Friday night entertainment when you have an 8 month old!)

Here we have 1960 Haley and 1976 Kyle...

And the lovely 1972 Hollie and 1974 Hankster...I love this!!!

We've had a great week this week. I've spent the last 3 days at a GREAT and much needed meeting in Little Rock. Greg has had a superbusy week with work. Lots of surgeries! I couldn't wait to get home to see Gavin tonight(and Greg too)! He's had a lot of love from DeDe and Aunt Hay Hay this week. I stopped in the Fort to pick up my MeMe to spend some time up here with us over the next few days. We are planning to take Gavin to a pumpkin patch and hay ride tomorrow in Pea Ridge, so hopefully I'll have lots of cute pics to post tomorrow!

My favorite little guy ever!

Hello all - Aunt Hay Hay is making a post because we all know Kara's track record and it's not so hot. So, I'm going to help out as much as I can! There really isn't anything much better than talking about Gavin. He's my little sunshine! I look forward to every time I get to keep him. I just love it! Monday was our first trip to Wal-mart. I've taken him all over the place, but I've never pushed him around in a cart. We were there for an hour and a half and he was awesome. Towards the end he started getting sleepy so that's when I wrapped it up. I could spend hours in Wal-mart! Note to all first time pushing babies in a cart people ~ when you place the baby bag in the cart, put it at the far end, not under the baby. Half way through shopping, it was completely covered with stuff and impossible to get into! Pretty sure I broke out in a sweat trying to find a pacifier. I needed it, not because he was fussy, but because every once in awhile he likes to just belt out noises and made up words at the top of his lungs for several minutes.

I love this picture! For some reason it reminds me of Kyle when he does his Harry Caray impression. hahahahaha!
Gavin loves his Uncle Kyle
He's just rub a dub dubbin in his tub
Love this sweet little face!
Look closely and you can see his two little bottom teeth. I love those teeth.

I'm such a big boy!

Ok. So I've not done a great job with the blog so far. I will get better, I promise...Gavin is just too cute not to share with everyone! We've had a BIG month...he now has 6 teeth, is crawling and pulling up, and most importantly has attended his first Razorback tailgate! We've been really blessed in that he is not having to go to daycare. Haley (Aunt Hay Hay) keeps him 2 days a week, my mother in law (GiGi) keeps him one day a week, and my mom (DeDe) keeps him 2 days a week. Needless to say he gets lots of love! Here are some recent pics...

More to come soon, I promise!
